The CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is a global standard for describing language proficiency. It uses a six-point scale to describe language aptitude, ranging from A1 for novices to C2 for those who have mastered a language. This allows anyone involved in language education and testing, such as teachers and students, to quickly assess the level of various qualifications.
Language competence consists of four elements: 1- Grammatical competence.: I need to know grammar. 2- Sociolinguistic competence. what to say where.3- Discourse competence. Taps Relationship of all these things. (formality)between two speakers. know the things within the context.It is beyond the soci.. This has to do with (con)text. You need to know the relationship between speakers if it is a joke or serious. 4- Strategic competence. Your capacity to handle speech. Gestures, sarcastic questions etc.
